Kara gives a knowledgeable and interactive presentation based in research and personal experience. My staff said that her professional development was the "best we have had all year!" Thank you Kara for sharing your love of learning and diversity in humanity.

- Rachael, Curriculum Director, Mountain City Public Montessori

My agency collaborated with Kara. She is incredibly resourced, informative, clear, and patient with her ability to explain how neurobiology impacts behavior and emotions, and give youth/clients/parents helpful and empowering strategies to help them better understand their brains, navigate their challenges, and access their strengths. I have never experienced another professional who is able to understand and clearly explain neurodivergence and how to navigate it in real world situations so well!.

- Kirstie F., Helpmate Youth Outreach Specialist

Kara was such peace of mind when my family had to deal with a new diagnosis and the side effects of the new medicines.  Kara was able to explain the complicated medical diagnosis and meds in terms that were simple and easy to understand.  Kara helped explained options and things we should consider.  This in turn helped us with the doctors and getting our daughter the best treatment possible. So grateful for her help during that difficult time.

After 6 years of struggles to understand my young son and after many therapies, parenting techniques, research, and modalities that never made a difference, in one conversation, Kara understood. We had been constantly seeking and trying and I never before experienced such a level of complete and specific understanding of what we'd been through. She changed our lives with the information she brought and provided further resources to help us along a path. Throughout this process, she was humble, kind, and compassionate. As I read through the resources she sent, I laughed and cried. So many years of misunderstanding -- of banging our heads against the wall when advice didn't work -- of feeling alone and isolated in our experience were over. Kara's insight brought clarity and hope. It's been the most important information I've ever received as a mom. I can never thank her enough.

Kara Nash is, quite simply, an extraordinary person with extraordinary gifts. She has been working with our son—an adult with ASD—for some time now, and both my wife and I have been privileged to participate in a few of their sessions (at our son’s request). We have been able to witness firsthand her ability to listen with great empathy, to very carefully make perceptive observations, and to even more carefully offer information and suggestions in a way that is deeply respectful of one’s dignity. She brings to her work a great store of technical knowledge, an intuitive understanding and respect for the person she is working with. She has a rare ability to put the other person at ease, to listen and to connect, sometimes with humor and always with empathy. But perhaps the most extraordinary gift that Kara brings to her work is the ability to share from her own experiences as a person with ASD. When appropriate, she is open and honest about herself, sharing experiences (often with humor) when they are relevant to the issue at hand. She manages to do it while always remaining the consummate professional that she is. It is this level of understanding that sets Kara apart from the other excellent professionals our son has worked with. Kara continues to be enormously helpful, not only to our son, but to both of us as his parents, as we watch him address and overcome obstacles that have seemed insurmountable. We continue to be very grateful that she has come into our lives.

What a blessing Kara has been to me! I got referred to Kara from a friend as I am dealing with the severe effects of a MTHFR gene mutation and didn’t know where to go. Kara has been a massive help to me through this part of my journey by listening to my symptoms and providing me with valuable information to get these symptoms under control. You can tell she truly cares about helping the people who really need it. I am so grateful for her assistance through this and would highly recommend her!! Thank you Kara!

Kara Nash is my go-to professional for all things concerning my 13-year-old daughter. She makes me feel that meeting my daughter's needs is her top priority... her information is always backed with research, and she explains everything in an open and honest manner that's easy to understand.

- Angela R.

Kara has been an incredible support for me in my healing journey. She provided me understanding, connection, and resources that helped me better understand and accept my autism.

- Heather H, Director of Camp Lakey Gap for Autistic Individuals

Adult education class: "thanks to Kara... for sharing the perspective and experience of persons on the autism spectrum. It was a gift to all who attended, and we will look for a chance to offer a more extended conversation to the larger community.

- Margaret LaMotte Torrence, Pastor, Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church

"If you are an adult, child, or family member managing and living with ASD, Kara can really help you navigate the health care system and learn more about all of your treatment options. Her work as a nurse allows her to help individuals and families avoid scams, review the benefits of supplements, understand the different types of medications, and get insight into what their children are likely trying to communicate through their so-called "behaviors".

- Sarah B

"Kara is definitely a person you want on your team! Her intimate knowledge of the autism world along with her detailed research skills are invaluable. Kara is a practical "get things done" type of person. Call her today to help you navigate the autism world."

- Dr Janet L, WNC Naturopathic Medicine

Very knowledgeable, caring, and personable. She cared for me when I had surgery, letting the nurses know that I was having a reaction to the post-operative medication immediately stopping the vomiting I was experiencing. She also cared for me, daily cleaning the sutures in my scalp. On another occasion, she helped me through an incident where I was having a severe reaction to antibiotics that my doctor had missed.

- Lou V

Great to have the information delivered by a nurse who is fundamentally acquainted with the material. I learned a lot.

- Lenoir-Rhyne presentation attendee

I remember you as a highlight of my years as a camper

- Jacob, ex-Camp Lakey Gap for Autistic Individuals camper

Kara Nash has been an invaluable resource to me as an autistic parent to a child with autism and complex medical conditions. She is an exceptional autism consultant who possesses an unparalleled understanding of the diverse medical and mental health needs of individuals on the spectrum. Her expertise in navigating the complex landscape of autism spectrum disorders is truly remarkable.

She is not only a brilliant educator, but also a top-tier trainer and public speaker. Her ability to articulate the nuances of autism and its associated challenges is enlightening and engaging. I have witnessed firsthand her talent in conveying complex information in a clear and accessible manner, making her a valuable resource for families, communities, and healthcare professionals alike.

What sets her apart is not only the depth but also the breadth of her knowledge. Her passion for educating others about autism is evident in everything she does. She goes above and beyond to raise awareness, fostering a greater understanding of the unique and often conflicting needs of individuals on the spectrum.

I wholeheartedly endorse her as a leading expert in the field of autism consultancy. Her dedication to advocating for individuals on the autism spectrum is genuinely inspiring, and her impact extends far beyond the boundaries of her work. If you are seeking a consultant who is not only knowledgeable and skilled but also compassionate and dedicated, look no further. It is a privilege to recommend her without reservation.
