What should I expect out of a session?

Each session is different as they are tailored to address the needs that we discussed in our free initial 30-minute consult. In general, you can expect a conversation about how autism may affect your relationships, work life, anxiety and depression levels, and educational performance. If there are specific topics that you (or your loved one) struggle with, we'll focus in on those using worksheets and collaborating on a treatment plan to help you meet your goals.

What do you charge for professional training for my school, camp, organization, business, etc?

Each company's needs are different and each training is customized to meet your specific needs, so there aren't set rates.

We start we a free 20-40-minute Zoom session to discuss how I can best serve you and go from there.

How often do you meet with clients?

I usually do sessions every two weeks. We start with a plan for up to 3 months and then re-evaluate at that time.

The every other week format gives clients time to try and incorporate the goals that they've identified at the last session before jumping into modifying or changing the goal. Some patterns have lasted a lifetime and take longer to shift than others.

Other times, especially with parent sessions, I may meet with them once or twice to explain what having autism means and discuss the physiological differences in the autistic brain and how that affects the way that their child communicates.

Sometimes, we discuss the overlaps between ASD, PTSD, and High IQ, questions about mental health medications, accommodations that can be requested at school, etc.

What is your cancellation policy?

I do not charge for cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment due to illness, not feeling up to session work, or emergencies.

If you have a situation come up where you can't make an in-person appointment, you are encouraged (but not required) to switch to a virtual Zoom session.

If you don't check in to cancel your appointment 8 hours ahead of time, or are a "no-show", there is a $50 cancellation fee. Two no-shows (without contact) will result in a discharge from care.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, I am not able to take insurance. I can, however, invoice for visits that can be paid via credit card. I also accept cash, checks, and Venmo.

I can take ESA+ through ClassWallet.

Can you provide references from your past clients?

Absolutely. Please check out my Testimonials page.
