Hey, I’m Alondra! My pronouns are she/her/hers.

A Fully Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the proud owner of Rebel Counseling, PLLC. I take a creative, holistic approach to therapy—think mindfulness, play, and finding strengths in every challenge.

As a Black queer woman, I’m passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ youth and people of color. When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m reading, gaming, or getting side-eyed by my black cats.

Let’s grow, heal, and maybe even laugh along the way!

Unmasked Nutrition

Unmasked Nutrition

ARFID is not like other forms of disordered eating. Unmasked Nutrition gets that.

Navigating daily food choices can be exhausting due to decision fatigue and executive dysfunction. The constant need to decide what, when, and how to eat becomes quickly becomes an overwhelming task that leaves you feeling drained, frustrated, and likely late night eating.

Together we can work together to implement more structure around food to minimize decision-making throughout the day. By creating a individualized and manageable routine we can reduce stress and increase consistency of meals/snacks. This will help you gain confidence in your  ability to nourish yourself effectively and create a more balanced and supportive eating pattern.

Matone Counseling and Testing

Matone Counseling and Testing

My "go to" recommendation for folks who may be a little harder to diagnose, like women and people with co-morbid ADHD, OCD, etc.

Our psychological and counseling staff consists of over 50 providers treating all ages and most issues. It is rare that we must refer out because we lack the expertise on staff to work with a given client. It happens from time to time when our schedules are too full, but we generally have someone on staff that can work with whatever it is that a client calls in about. We know we are doing something right when a family is working with multiple staff members. It is not uncommon for one clinician to provide couples counseling while another clinician is working with one of the individuals in the relationship or one of the family’s children. We also have the unique ability to provide both counseling and psychological testing under the same roof. This enables us to eliminate complicated referral processes in many cases.

In her own words:

If you think that psychotropic medications can correct neurochemical imbalances, as current theory supports, you are correct, but we are more than neurochemicals. Healing requires more than a drug. My role as a psychiatric nurse practitioner is to work with you neurochemically and psychotherapeutically to move forward and progress in your journey to health and well-being.
